Sheila L. Barlow
Sheila L. Barlow, educator and community leader for over twenty years. She graduated from Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, GA, she advanced her education at Clark Atlanta University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in counseling, she then continued her studies receiving an Educational Specialist from Argosy University.
Her twenty plus years of educational and community experiences include working as a community volunteer, school counselor, assistant principal and building level principal. She was the recipient of Educator of the Year 2018, from Butts Men of Action and Educator of the Year 2019, from the NAACP. She currently, works at Ga Family Connection and Partnership where she leads instructional approaches with area Superintendents, Principals, Counselors, Teachers and an array of community members to provide researched based strategies to increase the high school graduation rate in several Georgia counties. She knows her assignment has always been to work closely with her community to provide growth and development for the future community leaders. She prides herself for being able to work in high stress environments and at the same time getting the job done!
She stated that it is a privilege to work as a community leader in Hampton, GA. She genuinely understands how families need to be supported in our community. She expands her enthusiasm, professionalism, and the motivation she has for every community member to “SOAR” with high expectations in this fine city of Hampton, Georgia. She is a community leader who believes that everyone can succeed if guided to the right path and provided with resources and support.
She is a dedicated professional educator who has committed several years to supporting her community. She has patience and a positive attitude that will be essential in working for her community.
