Councilwoman Bodie was born and raised in Northern Kentucky. In 1996 she married Jason Bodie and moved to Hampton. She followed a career path as a Real Estate agent in Henry County until 2001, when their first daughter was born.
The Bodies' have three daughters, Carmen, Cara and Caitlin. Raising three daughters kept her very busy but Councilwoman Bodie managed to stay grounded by volunteering and taking part in various activities at Hampton First Baptist Church, where they regularly attend worship.
Councilwoman Bodie served as a Girl Scout leader for a period of 12 years and has also been a volunteer in the 4H program and with the Henry County Schools Board of Education.
Councilwoman Bodie played an active role in the schools her daughters attended serving as Vice President of the Parent Teachers Organization (PTO) at Hampton Elementary, School Council at Rocky Creek Elementary, and on a Parent Advisory Board with the Henry County Schools Superintendent’s Office.
Councilwoman Bodie is very passionate about Hampton and serving her community. She currently serves as Chair of the Hampton Youth Council and is always looking for positive ways to help the youth in Hampton. Her favorite events led by the Youth Council in 2021 were a self defense class for female teens in our community, the Firecracker 5K and Kickball Tournament.
In 2020, Councilwoman Bodie spearheaded the American Legion getting a home in Hampton. She cares for the Veterans of our community and wants them and their families to have this local resource for a long time.
Councilwoman Bodie loves educating people about the importance of investing in their community and listening to the ideas of others. She would love to hear any concerns, praises or ideas that you may have to better the Community of Hampton.
