Errol Mitchell

"My Name is Errol Mitchell, and I have been deeply committed to public service. I had the honor of serving as your Hampton City Council member for 2026. I am proud to have served my community and country for many years. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, I later moved to New Jersey, where I attended Plainfield High School."

Former Councilman/Mayor Pro Tem Mitchell and his family relocated to Peachtree City, GA, in 2005 and have been Hampton residents for over 15 years

I am deeply committed to helping govern our city into the future. I want to ensure that we can all continue to take pride in the place we call home.  

Councilman Errol Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University. Councilman Errol Mitchell continually expands his knowledge and obtains his master's degree in public administration with a focus on law and policy. 

Councilman Errol Mitchell obtained a Certificate from the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

Councilman Mitchell served a four-year term on the Hampton City Council from 2017 to 2021, including working as an Auxiliary Police Officer and PTO President in Plainfield, New Jersey, and a President of the Main Street Commons HOA.

Councilman Mitchell is also quite involved in his church. Councilman Mitchell formerly served as Head Deacon and presently serves as Area Coordinator of the Master Guide Club for the conference, Religious Liberty Director (EYPM), Pathfinders, the youth and children, and the Adventurer Club.

Councilman Mitchell has solid managerial experience and has been acknowledged several times for his outstanding service. He is a man of faith, fortitude, substance, and service who considers serving the citizens a pleasure and an honor.
